Mr. Burstow: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what arrangements his Department has made for evaluating the experience and outcomes of total purchasing pilots; and when the findings will be published. [53995] Mr. Boateng: The total purchasing pilot project has been independently evaluated by a research consortium led by Professor Nick Mays of the King's Fund. An interim report covering the period October 1995 to March 1997 was published by the King's Fund on 7 July 1998 and a final report covering the period up to March 1998 is expected to be published by January 1999.
