Question: To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, if he will make a statement on the procedures which will be put in place to ensure full public accountability of the work of the Information Commissioner. - Inc ref to White Paper "Your Right to Know".

Answer: Mr. Baker: To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will make a statement on the procedures which will be put in place to ensure full public accountability of the work of the Information Commissioner. [35032] Dr. David Clark: Paragraph 5.11 of the White Paper "Your Right to Know" proposes that the Information Commissioner should be required to publish an annual report (and special reports where necessary) to Parliament on the operation of his or her function; and to publish reports on the outcomes of investigations.
