Mr. Dafis: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will ratify the European Charter on Regional and Minority Languages. [31575] Mr. Tony Lloyd: Having assessed the benefits of the United Kingdom's signature and ratification of the Council of Europe Charter on Regional or Minority Languages, the relevant Government Departments are actively taking forward this question with a view to an early announcement.
