To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, who is the United Kingdom representative on the UN Security Council Ad Hoc Committee Security Council Resolution 661 Committee-Iraq; and how often the committee meets. - (Holding answer 24 February 1998).

Ms Abbott: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs who is the United Kingdom representative on the UN Security Council Ad Hoc Committee Security Council Resolution 661 Committee- Iraq; and how often the committee meets. [31250] Mr. Fatchett: [holding answer 24 February 1998]: The UK representative on the Security Council Committee Established by Resolution 661 (1990) Concerning the Situation Between Iraq and Kuwait is the Political Counsellor of the UK Mission to the United Nations. The Committee meets formally once every six weeks. There are also frequent informal meetings.
