Question
Whether they were consulted by, and if so agreed with, the United States authorities that in the event of attacks being made on Iraq earlier this year, "jamming aircraft" should be ready to "jam broadcasters' equipment, lest their reports aid the enemy" and to "zap electronic journalists' gear" (Aviation Week, 20 April); and, if they were not consulted, or did not agree, what is their view of such jamming.
