Dr. Cable: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received from (a) British Telecommunications and (b) BSkyB in relation to the proposed merger between NTL and Cable and Wireless Communications. [98554] Mr. Byers: I have received no direct representations from either British Telecommunications or BSkyB concerning the proposed merger between NTL and Cable and Wireless Communications. OFT received a number of representations on this case which informed the Director General of Fair Trading advice to me.
