Mr. Dafis: To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assistance is being provided by his Department to the Heritage Seed Library at Ryton. [97808] Ms Quin: This Department supplies no assistance to the Heritage Seed Library at Ryton. However, duplicates of much of the material held by the Heritage Seed Library are held in the Vegetable Gene Bank which is maintained by Horticulture Research International at Wellesbourne and the John Innes Pisum Collection which is maintained by the John Innes Centre for Plant Science Research at Norwich. Both these collections receive assistance from my Department.
