Answer: Mr. Bill O'Brien: To ask the Prime Minister if the Government have responded to the Eighth report of the House of Commons Select Committee on Standards and Privileges on the premature disclosure of reports of the Foreign Affairs Committee. [96614] The Prime Minister: I wrote to my right hon. Friend the Member for Ashton-under-Lyne (Mr. Sheldon), the Chairman of the Committee, on 14 September 1999 to indicate the Government's intention to abide fully by the Committee's recommendations. Copies of my letter and its attachments have been placed in the Libraries of the House.
