To ask the Secretary of State for Health, when Dr Moor resigned from his general practice in Wigrove Road, Fenham, Newcastle and what was the date of each subsequent (a) advertisement of the practice, (b) selection panel hearing and (c) appeal hearing.

Mr. Cousins: To ask the Secretary of State for Health when Dr. Moor resigned from his general practice in Wigrove Road, Fenham, Newcastle and what was the date of each subsequent (a) advertisement of the practice, (b) selection panel hearing and (c) appeal hearing. [92235] Mr. Denham: Dr. Moor resigned from his practice in Wingrove Road, Fenham, Newcastle on 31 March 1998. The advertisement for the practice vacancy appeared in the British Medical Journal on 30 January 1998. Selection panel hearings have been held on the following dates: 27 and 28 February 1998 2 October 1998 21 July 1999. There have been no appeal hearings to date.
