To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will provide guidance to Wakefield Health Authority in relation to their next strategic outline case for capital finance for Pontefract and Pinderfields Hospitals.

Mr. Trickett: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will provide guidance to Wakefield Health Authority in relation to their next strategic outline case for capital finance for Pontefract and Pinderfields Hospitals. [92065] Mr. Denham: On 16 July 1999 senior officers of the National Health Service Executive met the chief executives of the Wakefield Health Authority and the Pinderfields and Pontefract Hospitals National Health Service Trust. Items discussed included how the Wakefield Health Authority might progress its case for new capital finance.
