Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, What meetings he has held with EWS Railway Freight Company to discuss the shortage of freight trains to meet the contracts with the Scottish coal companies over the last year. (Failed OPQ).
Answer

Mr. Eric Clarke: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what meetings he has held with EWS Railway Freight Company to discuss the shortage of freight trains to meet the contracts with the Scottish coal companies over the last year. [121887] Mr. Wilson: I had a very useful meeting with EWS on 13 April, together with representatives of coal producers and generators, to discuss issues relating to the transport of coal by rail. I and my colleagues wish to ensure that the arrangements for transporting coal make the best use of the railway system, and provide a more secure future for all concerned.
