Mr. Gordon Marsden: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he is taking to ensure the greater involvement of victims and their families in the assessment process of prisoners for early release on parole. [116809] Mr. Boateng: We have announced a comprehensive review of the parole and lifer review processes. The review will consider how victims and their families are currently involved in these processes and whether improvements mights be made. Victim support and other interest groups will be consulted as part of the review.
