To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, if he will make a statement on impediments faced by the PNTL vessels travelling through (a) the Panama Canal and (b) the Suez Canal.

Mr. Chaytor: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on impediments faced by the PNTL vessels travelling through (a) the Panama Canal and (b) the Suez Canal. [140599] Mr. Byers: PNTL ships enjoy the same rights to freedom of navigation as any other commercial vessel.
