Answer: Dr. Julian Lewis: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the requests for political asylum made by former FSB officers. [137489] Mr. Straw: All asylum applications are fully and carefully considered on their individual merits, by specially trained officers in the Integrated Casework Directorate of the Home Office. Details of individual cases are not disclosed to third parties for reasons of confidentiality.
