Answer: Mr. Letwin: To ask the Prime Minister if he will make it his policy to require Government Departments and agencies to discontinue the practice of referring to date as postmark and to date their correspondence. [86873] The Prime Minister: [holding answer 14 June 1999]: All correspondence from Government Departments and agencies should be clearly dated. The Cabinet Office will be issuing revised guidance on correspondence handling later this year to reinforce this message.
