Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, What plans he has to assess the operation of the Insolvency Act 2000; and if he will make a statement. (Failed OPQ).

Answer: Mr. Burnett: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what plans he has to assess the operation of the Insolvency Act 2000; and if he will make a statement. [144543] Dr. Howells: At the moment only Section 14 of the Act is in force and that is an order-making power. Before we can assess the operation of the Act we will need to bring the rest of its provisions into force. As was stated in the regulatory impact assessment, we will monitor its operation and assess it after three years.
