Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what discussions his Department has had with Tokyo Electric Power Company concerning the possibility of allowing Japanese intermediate nuclear waste to be stored at Sellafield indefinitely.

Answer: Mr. Alan Simpson: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions his Department has had with Tokyo Electric Power Company concerning the possibility of allowing Japanese intermediate nuclear waste to be stored at Sellafield indefinitely. [83264] Mr. Fatchett: There have been no discussions between my Department and the Tokyo Electric Power Company concerning the indefinite storage of Japanese intermediate nuclear waste at Sellafield.
