Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what representatiosn he has made to the government of Sudan on the UN Special Rapporteur's report on human rights abuses in Sudan; and if he will make a statement.

Answer: Dr. Tonge: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Government of Sudan on the UN Special Rapporteur's report on human rights abuses in Sudan; and if he will make a statement. [15777] Mr. Bradshaw: The promotion of human rights remains one of our priorities in Sudan and our Embassy in Khartoum is in constant touch with the Government of Sudan. Human rights are also a key focus of the renewed EU-Sudan dialogue. We make representations to the Sudanese Government and to other parties to the conflict on a range of human rights issues, many of which are referred to in the Special Rapporteur's report.
