Statement on when he expects to publish the Ninth Annual Report of the National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Surveillance Unit. (Report in Library Dep 01/1018). - Inc fact that ninth annual report will be published tomorrow, and copies will be placed in Library and made available on the Unit's website at www.cjd.ed.ac.uk.

Ian Stewart: To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he expects to publish the ninth annual report of the National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Surveillance Unit. [1710] Mr. Milburn: The National Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Surveillance Unit's ninth annual report will be published tomorrow. The report documents the Unit's findings in relation to sporadic, familial and iatrogenic Creutzfeldt- Jakob Disease (CJD), and also variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (vCJD), up to 31 December 2000. Copies will be placed in the Library, and made available on the Unit's website at www.cjd.ed.ac.uk.
