Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many people were waiting for treatment at East Surrey Hospital, together with the average length of waiting time in (a) May 1997 and (b) May 2001. - Inc figures for trusts. (Holding answer 25 June 2001).

Answer: Mr. Peter Ainsworth: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many people were waiting for treatment at East Surrey Hospital, together with the average length of waiting time in (a) May 1997 and (b) May 2001. [146] Mr. Hutton: [holding answer 25 June 2001]: East Surrey Healthcare and Crawley Horsham National Health Service Trusts merged in 1998-99 to form the Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust. As waiting times data are collected on an aggregated trust basis only and not on a hospital basis, data are not available for East Surrey Hospital.
