Mr. Trend: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if the Government will accommodate Gibraltar's telephone system within the UK 0044 code. [160676] Mr. Vaz: [holding answer 9 May 2001]: HMG are deeply concerned at the problems which Gibraltar is currently experiencing over telecommunications. We are considering various options for resolving these problems.
