To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if he will list the places on which he plans to confer cluster status for the dispersal of asylum seekers, indicating the (a) population and (b) ethnic minority population of each.

Mr. Mitchell: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the places on which he plans to confer cluster status for the dispersal of asylum seekers, indicating the (a) population and (b) ethnic minority population of each. [160848] Mrs. Roche: There are already 71 cluster areas in existence, and research and consultation through the regional consortium continue in order to identify other suitable areas.
