Question: To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, what assessment he has made of ease of transporting (a) napalm and (b) timber and old tyres to avoid transport in connection with destruction of animal carcases. - (Holding answer 26 April 2001).

Answer: Mr. Dalyell: To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment he has made of ease of transporting (a) napalm and (b) timber and old tyres to avoid transport in connection with destruction of animal carcases. [158871] Ms Quin: [holding answer 26 April 2001]: Napalm produces very toxic compounds when burnt, and so cannot be used because of the public and environmental health risks. We have made no assessment of the ease of transporting napalm compared with transporting timber or old tyres.
