Mr. Greenway: To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what the terms of the agreement are between the British Tourist Authority and the Premier League on promoting tourism. [160273] Janet Anderson: The Premier League, concerned about the impact of foot and mouth disease on Britain's tourism industry, recently approached the British Tourist Authority with an offer to use the worldwide television coverage of its competition to help promote Britain to potential visitors from overseas. The exact details of the agreement are still under discussion between the BTA and the Premier League, but I understand that, among its provisions, BTA advertisements will appear on the perimeters of pitches in the 178 countries where Premiership games are screened.
