Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what measures he will take to replace the police station in Downpatrick; and if he will make a statement. (Further information on 30.01.2001 at 362 c136W)
Answer

Mr. McGrady: To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what measures he will take to replace the police station in Downpatrick; and if he will make a statement. [145930] Mr. Mandelson: I believe the question may refer to usage of the former RAF base at Bishopscourt which was taken out of use and sold in 1991. The Northern Ireland Office does not operate any scheme which permits the making of an ex-gratia payment in this instance.
