- To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, if currently licensed black cabs will be permitted to operate within the current Metropolitan Police District boundaries after the establishment of the Greater London Authority.

Mr. Burstow: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if currently licensed black cabs will be permitted to operate within the current Metropolitan Police District boundaries after the establishment of the Greater London Authority. [75734] Ms Glenda Jackson: Once the Metropolitan Police District boundary has become aligned with that of Greater London, taxis licensed by the Public Carriage Office will be able to ply for hire only within the new boundary.
