- To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what assessment his Department has made of the frequency of assisted dying in the UK in the last 10 years.

Joan Ruddock: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment his Department has made of the frequency of assisted dying in the UK in the last 10 years. [87034] Mr. Lammy: We have no information about the frequency of assisted dying because it is an illegal act, if this means a deliberate intervention to end life. It is not for the Department to undertake any investigation into this matter, as this is a matter for the Criminal Justice Service.
