Dept of Trade and Industry

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, if she will list the sites identified by her Department for the construction of wind powered electricity generators.
Answer

Mr. Watson: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, if she will list the sites identified by her Department for the construction of wind-powered electricity generators. [78068] Mr. Wilson: The Government do not have a list of sites suitable for the construction of wind powered electricity generators. It is for developers to bring proposals forward. Government information that may assist developers in considering potential locations includes the UK Windspeed Database and the document ``Assessing the Potential of Wind Energy Projects: Notes for Developers,'' both available on the DTI website.
