To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, when she plans to publish the Government's response to the Joint Committee on the Draft Communications Bill. - Government's response will be published this afternoon (CM5646).

James Purnell: To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport when she plans to publish the Government's response to the Joint Committee on the Draft Communications Bill. [78438] Tessa Jowell: With my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, I have pleasure to inform the House that the Government's formal response to the Joint Committee on the Draft Communications Bill will be published this afternoon. I would also like to express my gratitude to Lord Puttnam and his committee for their valuable contribution to our preparations of the Communications Bill.
