- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what legal action she will take in relation to the incident in Wales last November whereby meat from the offspring of a cow with BSE entered the human food chain.

Mr. Peter Ainsworth: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what legal action she will take in relation to the incident in Wales last November whereby meat from the offspring of a cow with BSE entered the human food chain. [28689] Mr. Morley: The case has been investigated and a warning letter has been sent to the farmers concerned. Offspring cull procedures have been tightened up.
