Mrs. Calton: To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many cases of encephalitis tick-borne infection were diagnosed in the UK in each year since 1997. [70345] Ms Blears: No clinical cases of UK diagnosed tick-borne encephalitis have been reported to the public health laboratory service communicable disease surveillance centre between January 1997 and the end of June 2002.
