Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health, for what reason general practitioners practising within the area covered by the North Surrey PCT have been refused permission by the PCT to refer expectant mothers to the maternity units of their choice. - (Holding answer 5 July 2002).

[67468] Ms Blears: [holding answer 5 July 2002]: North Surrey Primary Care Trust has not stopped general practitioners referring expectant mothers to the maternity unit of their choice.
