- To give amount of employees NI contributions collected by employers & subsequently not paid to Treasury in 1988, with regional breakdown; what was no of cases of NI evasion or fraud by employers where DSS took civil proceedings against employer & amount of contributions recovered as a result; what was annual cost of crediting NI contributions to employees whose original contributions were defrauded by employer; & what steps are being taken or may be proposed to counter such fraud.
