Answer: Chris Grayling: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the ratio is between the average earnings of a GP and the average house price in (a) Surrey, (b) London, (c) Yorkshire and (d) Tyne and Wear. [31559] Mr. Hutton: [holding answer 30 January 2002]: For 2000-01 the intended average net income for a full-time general practitioner principal delivering general medical services is £60,655. The Department does not collect information about average house prices.
