To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of (a) the effect on the Gulf Stream Conveyer Belt of a fall in water salinity in the northern Arctic Ocean and (b) the likelihood of such conditions arising; what research her Department is conducting on the salinity of waters in the Gulf Stream Conveyor Belt. - Will write.
