Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimates he has made of the savings that his Department will gain through the introduction of a compulsory identity card. - Ref to 17 November 2003, 413 c468-9.

Answer: Sir Archy Kirkwood: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what assessment he has made of the use of ID cards to reduce benefit fraud.
