To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of the effect on farmers of the introdution of crop spray buffer zones for land next to housing.

Miss McIntosh: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what assessment she has made of the effect on farmers of the introduction of crop spray buffer zones for land next to housing. [137568] Alun Michael: The public consultation on the viability of the introduction of no spray buffer zones closed on 31 October. The responses will help to inform a full Regulatory Impact Assessment including a cost/benefit analysis of effects on farmers.
