Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when he expects that Liverpool Lime Street station will be owned by Network Rail; and if he will make a statement.

Answer: Mrs. Ellman: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects that Liverpool Lime Street station will be owned by Network Rail; and if he will make a statement. [136452] Mr. McNulty: In common with the other 2,500 railway stations on the rail network, Liverpool Lime Street is already owned by Network Rail. Network Rail are, however, in negotiations with First North Western to take operational control of the station. Network Rail inform me that negotiations are well advanced.
