Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to his oral Answer of 8th July, Official Report, column 888Y, whether his Department had an input into the Joint Intelligence Committee's assessment of the 45 minute claim; and if he will make a statement; whether his Department had an input into the claims that Iraq was seeking uranium from Niger; and if he will make a statement; whether intelligence aspects in the Government's dossier on Iraq were not from a source (a) emanating from and (b) verified by his Department; and if he will make a statement.

[125791] Mr. Rammell: The issue of how intelligence information was handled, analysed and utilised in the preparation of the Government's dossier on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction published in September 2002 is currently being addressed by the Intelligence and Security Committee of the House. Their report will be presented to the House in due course.
