To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what assessment he has made of the efficacy of using glycyrrhizin in treating severe acute respiratory syndrome.

Mr. Paul Marsden: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment he has made of the efficacy of using glycyrrhizin in treating severe acute respiratory syndrome. [122391] Miss Melanie Johnson: As the United Kingdom has no active cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), it is not feasible for the UK to undertake an assessment of the efficacy of glycyrrhizin in treating SARS.
