Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what discussions he has had with the Iraq Nuclear Verification Office since 1st December 2002 on access of inspectors to Iraqi nuclear sites.

Answer: Llew Smith: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the Iraq Nuclear Verification Office since 1 December 2002 on access of inspectors to Iraqi nuclear sites. [116919] Mr. Mike O'Brien: The matter of a return to Iraq by INVO was discussed during a visit to the UK by Dr. El-Baradei on 12 May. Dr. El Baradei reported on INVO access to Iraq's nuclear facilities in his reports to the UN Security Council on 14 February and 7 March 2003. IAEA inspectors are currently on their way to Iraq to resume monitoring under the IAEA/Iraq Safeguards Agreement.
