Mrs. Curtis-Thomas: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what plans the DSA has to reduce the period within which candidates who have passed a theory test are expected to take a practical test. [65344] Ms Glenda Jackson: Theory test pass certificates are valid for two years. This provides an ample period for a successful theory test candidate to prepare for the practical driving test. We have no current proposals to reduce that period, but will keep the matter under review.
