[100772] Mr. Jamieson: I have asked the Chief Executive of the Highways Agency, Mr. Tim Matthews to write to the hon. Member. Letter from Tim Matthews to Mr. Nigel Waterson, dated 6 March 2003: I have been asked by the Transport Minister, David Jamieson, to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question about accidents on the A27 between Lewes and Polegate, in each of the last ten years. The figures available are shown in the table below. They represent the number of accidents involving fatalities or serious injuries. When both fatal and serious injuries are involved in the same accident, it is recorded in the highest severity classification (ie fatality). _________________________________________________________________________________________________. All the figures provided are for the length of the A27 from Ashcombe Roundabout (west of Lewes) and the A22 junction at Polegate.
