To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, what consultation there has been regarding the extension of the use of coal mine methane emissions for electricity in the UK. - (Holding answer 6 February 2003).

Mr. Jim Cunningham: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what consultation there has been regarding the extension of the use of coal mine methane emissions for electricity in the UK. [95440] Mr. Wilson: [holding answer 6 February 2003]: This issue was covered in the Energy White Paper Consultation and the Government have given consideration to the responses they have received. Their conclusions will be made public when the White Paper is published.
