Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what has been spent on the Food Standards Agency's food hygiene campaign; and how much money has been allocated for the campaign over the next five years. - Includes figure.

Answer: Mrs. Calton: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what has been spent on the Food Standards Agency's food hygiene campaign; and how much money has been allocated for the campaign over the next five years. [88720] Ms Blears: As part of the Food Standards Agency's remit to cut food borne disease by 20 per cent. by 2006, £4.1 million was spent in 2001-02 and £4.9 million in 2002-03. There is currently an allocation of £4 million per year for the next three years.
