Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many properties are held by the Department; what total floor space these properties provide; how many properties are vacant; and how much floor space vacant properties comprise. - Inc figures.

Answer: Mr. George Osborne: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many properties are held by the Department; what total floor space these properties provide; how many properties are vacant; and how much floor space vacant properties comprise. [206494] Maria Eagle: DWP occupies approximately 1,800 buildings. The total floor space occupied by DWP in those buildings is 2,648,773m2. We have no vacant properties. Of the buildings we occupy 1,681 have been transferred (for value) to Land Securities Trillium under the terms of the PRIME PFI contract.
