Charles Hendry: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what the cost of (a) creative work, (b) media spend and (c) administration for his Department's advertising activity has been in each financial year since 1997-98, broken down by contractor. [197296] Mrs. McGuire: The Scotland Office was established on 1 July 1999. Most of the expenditure between 1999-2000 and 2001-02 relates to electoral registration matters. Since 2001, this has been the responsibility of the Electoral Commission.
