Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what the general practitioner vacancy rates were for each primary care trust in England at (a) 31st March 2003, (b) 30th September 2003, (c) 31st March 2004 and (d) 30th September 2004. - Inc figures and fact that not available at primary care trust level.

Answer: Mr. Lansley: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the general practitioner vacancy rates were for each primary care trust in England at (a) 31 March 2003, (b) 30 September 2003, (c) 31 March 2004 and (d) 30 September 2004. [195806] Mr. Hutton: The information requested is not available at primary care trust level. The estimated three-month general practitioner vacancy rate in England decreased from 3.4 per cent. in March 2003 to 3 per cent. in March 2004.
