Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what representations he has made to the Israeli Government on flights by its military aircraft over Lebanese territory; and if he will make a statement.
Answer

Mr. Love: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Israeli Government on flights by its military aircraft over Lebanese territory; and if he will make a statement. [192752] Mr. Rammell: We raise the issue of overflights regularly with both the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the Israeli Defence Forces, including the Israeli Air Force. The UK Government have called on all parties to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon under the control of the Government of Lebanon, and to honour their commitments under UNSCRs 425, 1553 and 1559.
