Mr. Wiggin: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how much the British Cattle Movement Organisation cost in each year since 2000. [189627] Alun Michael: The costs of running the British Cattle Movement Service (BCMS) which runs the Cattle Tracing System, in each year since 2000 are set out in the following table. _________________________________________________________________________________________________. £ million 2000-01 13.40 2001-02 14.24 2002-03 15.79 2003-041 15.39 2004-05 214.50 _________________________________________________________________________________________________. 1 The BCMS merged with the Rural Payments Agency on 1 April 2003. 2 Projection to year end.
